This study determines whether personal values are affected during adolescence when children are faced with adverse childhood experiences. Adverse childhood experiences were things commonly experienced by the like physical abuse, neglect, and parental divorce. It is very important to protect the minds and overall well-being of children in their important development stages. The final conclusion of this study was that adverse childhood experiences by age 15 caused subjects to be less likely to cherish people in close relationships and also less likely to avoid causing trouble.
