Activity 8.1 My SMART Goals

SMART goals. The letters stand for “Specific, Measurable, Achievable-in-steps, Rewarding, and Time-specific.” Set your goals! Here is an example:
(S) Specific goal: Get a better grade in math class.
(M) Measurable: Improve from average test score of 78% to 85%.
(A) Achievable in steps: Spend 15 minutes studying math each day, even if no homework is due. Get tutoring help on Thursdays after school from the school math tutor. Prior to a math test, take the chapter practice test.
(R) Rewarding: After I finish my math, I get to pick a healthy snack from the snack shelf.
(T) Time: Start now, and bring my overall grade up to at least a B by the end of the semester.

Use the provide SMART Goals form for entering your goal. Print out the forms and keep them on your board, desk or wall and track your progress!
