SFP Key Activities
Here are the steps you will following when using this learning system:
- Log In (using the link at the top of the page) with your username and password. Passwords are case sensitive.
- When you log in, you’ll find yourself in “Home Base.”
- Click on the Learn & Earn Map to start your lesson where you last left off.
- Each lesson has three sections of skills training plus Family Activities. The Activities are in the Family book. It’s best to start a section when you have 15 minutes to finish it. Otherwise, you’ll have to start that section again.
- Parents and kids need to individually complete their own Learn & Earn lesson and activities, then discuss them together during family dinner and at your weekly Family Meeting.
- Once you complete all 3 sections of the lesson, you will earn a key, which opens up the next land in the Finding Home video game!
- Click on the heart-letter Love Notes, where you can send emails with love notes and hearts to your family members. The hearts give them stamina as they battle in the game!
- Click on the Play sign in the door flap of the tent to enter the video game.
The adult who signed up for the course is your family’s Family Lead. They are in charge of the weekly Family Meeting, which you should hold a day or two after the family completes each lesson. Use the Agenda, which is found in the Family book.
Every week you should check the Family Book for your Family Activities and tracking forms to complete. Some are things you do individually, like complimenting family members. Others are group projects everyone does and completes during the Family Meeting.
Mindfulness is a brain training skill that helps us focus and be calm. There is a new fun skill for each lesson. Click on the Mindfulness sign and practice!
The Family Lead signs up other family members by clicking on the TO DO sign in Home Base to Add Family Members. Your child who took the Pre-survey has already been signed up, so add any other family members who will be participating.
