What you need:
- 5 sheets of paper per player – this is great way to reuse wrapping paper!
- Tape
- Permanent marker
- Box, string, or another way to make a place to place the balls of paper
Goal: Collect paper “balls” with your name on them, and be the first to place yours in the box or circle.
Instructions:
- Draw a circle with tape or string, or place a box in the main room of your home.
- Each person wads up five sheets of paper (make sure they are the same size sheets for each player).
- Place a piece of tape with your name on it, on each of your five balls/wads of paper.
- Designate one family member as “it”.
- The person chosen as “it” puts the balls around the house in various rooms, in plain sight (not hidden).
- Once completed, they count to three, starting the game!
- Each player (other than “it” ) runs to collect their balls!
- The first to place all of their 5 balls into the box or in the circle (with their own name on it), wins!
Additional rules: Family members cannot hide, or move, each other’s balls if found. Doing so is an automatic “out” for that player!
Alternate rules:
- Hide the balls rather than placing them in sight, to make it a longer, and more strategic game! (Make sure they are low enough for shorter players to still find).
